Season 1, Episode 18: LARYNGITIS

Puck has shaved off his Mohawk after his mother found mole in it. It makes the nerds less afraid of him and they throw him in a trash can. He notices that Mercedes has become popular ever since she joined the chirioes. To be popular again he plans to date her. Rachel shows Will a list of the people in the glee club NOT pulling their weight. She sings "The Climb" in front of the glee club but she sounds terrible. Will tells her he think she has lost her voice. Puck asks Mercedes out but she refuses for a number of reasons. Will gives the glee club an assignment to find a solo to sing in front of the club expressing themselves very well. Kurt's Dad, Burt, shows up at school to take Finn to a basketball game. Kurt had no idea this arrangement was happening and it upset him that he was not invited. Kurt apologises to Sue for not showing up to Chirioes rehearsal because he was upset over his sexuality. Sue tells him to get over it. Kurt dresses like his father and starts acting more like a guy. He and his Dad go and get burgers. Finn takes Rachel to the doctors. The doctor tells Rachel she has a bad case of LARYNGITIS. Rachel asks Finn what she would do without her voice. They have an argument when she admit she still has feelings for Jesse. Finn gets up in front of the glee club and sings "Jessie's Girl." Then Puck and Mercedes sing "Lady Is A Tramp" and Mercedes agrees to date him. Mercedes asks Quinn if it okay and she gives her the go-ahead. Santana is jealous and she and Mercedes sing "The Boy Is Mine." Puck discovers he is popular again and the nerds fear him again. Mercedes realises Puck was only using her. She breaks it off with him and quits the Chirioes because it just isn't who she is. Finn brings Sean to Rachel. Sean is an old football player who was paralyzed during a game and can never play again. He reminds her that nobody is one thing. Kurt goes over the top when he makes out with Brittney in front of his Dad. He sings "Rose's Turn" on stage in the auditorium. It ends with his father clapping for him. The two of them hug and tell each other that they love each other. Rachel goes to see Sean by herself. Her voice is better. In the auditorium, New Directions perform U2's cover of "One."

NEXT EPISODE: Dream On- Will's old high school Nemesis, Bryan Ryan, returns to make Will's life miserable by crushing the biggest thing he cares about- New Directions! Meanwhile Jesse and Rachel get back together and search for Rachel's birth mother and Artie struggles with his desire to walk.

Countdown to REGIONALS!

[NOTE: The following post has a number of spoilers. If you do not wish to be spoiled please do not continue reading!] In 10 days it will be excactly 1 year since glee showed its special screening of the pilot episode in the US. ever since that magical night the world has been waiting for a very big moment in telivision history and in glee history: REGIONALS! Good things are coming to glee and it cant get anymore epic then what is too come. In this weeks episode (USA/CAN/UK), "Laryngitis" Rachel loses her voice, Puck shaves his head and tries to be cool by dating fresh chirio Mercedes, and Kurt changes his persona to impress his father. Then in "Dream On" Will's old school rival, Bryan Ryan, tries to disband the glee club, while Artie struggles with his desire to walk. Then in "Funk" Will thinks he finally has gotten Sue of his back but then things get worse. Meanwhile Quinn conects with her Funky side. In "Theartricality" the glee club wear some of Lady GaGa and Kiss' famous costumes and sing a couple of their songs. Rachel sings with Shelby infront of Vocal Adrenalin. Then its the big moment- the season fanale named "Journey" shows Quinn getting anxious as her baby is due then her water un-expectadly breaks. The glee club perform on stage at Regionals against Vocal Adrenalin and Aural Intensity. The judges are Josh groban, Olivia Newton-John and the biggest problem New Directions has faced it performing for the third judge..........................SUE SYLVESTER!

Season 1, Episode 17: BAD REPUTATION

Finn, Rachel, Jesse, Mercedes, Tina, Artie and Kurt all watch a video of Sue dancing to Olivia Newton Johns Physical video. Kurt reveals he stole the video from Sue's office and to get back at her for all she does to them, they put it on YouTube. Without evidence Sue blames the glee club and shows Figgins and Will a GLIST (a Glee List) that has been posted through the school. It is a weekly ranking of the kids in the glee club and was created by a member of the club. Figgins tells Will if he doesn't find the and suspend the culprit before another glist is posted the entire club will be expelled. Everybody blames Puck but he denies it. Will then sings "Ice Ice Baby" with the kids and gives them an assignment to remake songs with BAD REPUTATIONS and make them look good. Sue loses her reputation when the video causes all the students and teaches to no longer fear her. She is mocked and ridiculed by the new teacher Brenda Castle. Kurt, Mercedes, Artie, Tina and Britney all work together to figure out how to become bad asses to get them on the glist. They sing "U Can't Touch This" in the library to become bad but the staff hire them to perform at Sunday school. Sue gets a call from Olivia Newton John herself. Olivia wishes to remake the video with her. Kurt tries to be cool and confesses he posted the video and Sue thanks him. Kurt watches that Olivia Newton John and Sue remade the video and it is streaming through the Internet. Rachel gets the AV club to help her remake the Run Joey Run music video and asks Puck to be Joey in the video. When she plays the video for the club they discover that Finn and Jesse were also in the video. All three boys walk out on her as they feel used. Sue realises she has not been fair to her down system sister jean and gives her hospital the money she made from the purchases of the Physical song on iTunes. Sue tells Emma about how Will made out with Shelby and how he slept in the same bed as April. Emma calls Will a liar and a slut in front of the other staff. Will gives her flowers and she says they will need to adjust if their relationship will work. Will figures out the publisher of the Glist was to his surprise..................Quinn. She says she wanted to be noticed. He keeps it a secret and she stops posting the lists. Figgins lets it slide. Rachel goes to see Jesse and apologises. But he says she broke his heart and lied to him. He breaks up with her. Rachel and Jesse (with New Directions back up) sing a break up song "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" which ens with Rachel alone and in mental pain.

Glee- The Music: VOLUME 3 (Showstoppers)!

FOX and Sony Entertainment are releasing yet another soundtrack. It is called GLEE- THE MUSIC: VOLUME 3 (SHOWSTOPPERS)! It is different to the other soundtracks. It has 2 versions. The normal has 14 tracks and the deluxe edition has 20 tracks (that's 6 more). It has songs from episodes 14-21 (not including 15). Season 1, Episode 16: HOME

Sue tells Kurt and Mercedes that a reporter from Splitz Magazine is coming to see a performance of the chirioes and write a column on it for the magazine. Sue tells Mercedes she has a week to lose 10 Pounds or she and Kurt will be out of the club. If Sue can't get any worse she uses her blackmail against Figgins to take up the auditorium time 24/7 so the glee club has nowhere to rehearse. Will goes to a roller-skating rink to ask the manager if he can rent the space. He is surprised to find the new manager is non other than APRIL RHODES. Together they sing "Fire." Afterwards April agrees to let Will use the space. She tells him how her new wealthy 80 year old boyfriend who is married to another women bought her the rink. He tells her he is getting a divorce and April seems interested to buy his apartment. Mercedes discovers half way through the week that she has gained 2 pounds. She struggles to not eat and after imagining everyone in the cafeteria as deserts she faints. She wakes up int the nurses office. The nurse tells her she had a low blood sugar level. Quinn talks to Mercedes about how Quinn knows how she feels. Now that Quinn is pregnant she has a whole new diet and Mercedes should not be ashamed of herself. She is Beautiful. MEANWHILE- Finn is Mortified to find that his mom Carole has begun dating Kurt's father, Burt. Finn asks Finn whats going on. Kurt reveals he hooked their parents up. But he doesn't say that it is because he wants to have a normal family and be closer to Finn. In glee club Kurt sings "A House Is Not A Home." Finn thinks his mother is cheating on his late father. Carole thinks Finn is being selfish and not realising that she is happy with a man for the first time in 16 years. Finn gets to know Burt and they have a lot (mainly sport interests) in common. This makes Kurt feel left out. April spends the night at Will's house and Will and April sing a mash up of "One Less Bell To Answer/ A House Is Not A Home." April is supposed to sleep on the couch but she crawls into Wills bed and holds his hand as they fall asleep. In the morning Will tells April she can't stay over again and she is better than to just be a mistress to her 80 year old boy friend. April goes to tell her boyfriend its over but he has a heart attack and dies. The old Tycoon's wife gives April 2 million dollars hush money. Kurt and Finn work together to try and break up their parents but it doesn't work and they both accept their parents are happy together for the first time in years. At the assembly where the reporter is Mercedes changes the performance without anybody knowing and sings "Beautiful" which makes the reporter happy and Sue takes all the credit. She lets Mercedes and Kurt stay on the chirioes. April uses some of her money to buy the auditorium for the glee kids to use. She tells Will she is going to go to Broadway with the rest of her money and use it to start her own production of The Wiz. Before she leaves she does one last performance with the glee club "Home."

NEXT EPISODE: Bad Reputation- A list is released amongst the school ranking who's hot and who's not in the glee club. this causes problems amongst the club. Sue sings "Physical" with Olivia Newton-John and Will has more problems with Emma.

Season 1, Episode 15: THE POWER OF MADONNA

Sue writes in her journal about her love for madonna. she then uses her current blackmail over figgins to make him play madonna songs all week over the speaker loudly. She then talks to her chirioes and tells them to be more like madonna and date younger men. Rachel asks the glee club what to do when a guy is presuring you for sex. Tina tells them that Artie only will forgive her for her lie (episode 9) if she ditches the goth look and wears more sexy clothes. Will overhears them. Sanatana is a few days older than Finn so she asks him if he would like for her to take his virginity. He refuses as he loves Rachel. Snatana tells him she is still dating jesse. This maks Finn mad. Will sees that Sue is using Madonna to inspire her chirioes so he does the same. He uses madonna as a role model for the glee club and gets them to sing madonna songs. The girls sing "Express Yourself." Finn confronts Rachel about Jesse and Rachel tries to deni it. Emma asks Sue why madonnas music is playing in everyroom in the school but her office. Sue tells her- because of her virginity she does not have power over her body. After Will insults Sue's fashion sense and hair style, Kurt and Mersadies give Sue a makeover which she uses to re-create Madonnas Vouge Viedo with several hairstyles. In return Sue makes them both chirioes.Finn accepts Santana proposal, Rachel tells Jesse she is ready to lose her virginity and Emma confronts will and says to take ownership of her body she needs to finally have sex with will. He agrees. While Jesse, Rachel, Finn, Santana, Will & Emma are all getting ready they sing "Like A Virgin." After Finn does it he tells Santana it didn't mean anything. Rachel talks herself out of it and Emma chickens out and runs away without her shoes. Figgins convinces Sue she dosnt need a new look because she is a strong independint women. Emma apologises to Will for running out and he gives Emma her shoes back. He tells her he filed for divorce earlier that day. Jesse announces that he has moved to Mckinly high school and joins New Directions which makes everybody except Rachel upset. The chirioes do a performance for the school where Mersadies and Kurt sing "4 Minuites." Will asks them why they have joined chirioes. They tell them they need more time to shine. The guys do their performance of "What It Feels Like For A Girl." Wich makes thing right with the girls. Jesse challenges Finn to a sing off but he just refuses. He shakes Jesse's hand and welcomes him to the club. They walk down the hall talking about their new number. The club ends their Madonna assinment by singing "Like A Prayer" which end with them all hugging each other happily.
