Season 2, Episode 3: GRILLED CHEESUS

Finn is hungry and makes a grilled cheese sandwich. He discovers that the face of GOD has been burnt into it. He decides to pray for it and asks that it grants his wish to win the first football game of the season. His wish comes true and in return Finn asks that the glee club sing religious songs. Kurt says that he won't make it to Dinner Friday night which is a special dinner they do ever week that was Kurt's mom's idea. In glee club Mercedes and Quinn like the idea of religious songs but others like Puck and Kurt are against it. Puck decides to sing "Only The Good Die Young." Kurt's father, Burt, has a heart attack at work. Will and Emma take Kurt to the hospital where they are told that Burt is in a coma and they are not sure how long he will be in it. Kurt's talks to Burt alone. He begs him to squeeze his hand but Burt does not. At school everybody is sympathetic to Kurt. Finn angrily walks in and demands to know why he was the last to know and he had to hear it from other football players conversation. Mercedes decides to sing "I Look To You" for Kurt. He thanks Mercedes but then announces that he does not believe in GOD. Sue does not want the glee club to sing religious songs. Finn prays to the Grilled Cheesus again and asks if he can make it so that Rachel will let him touch her boobs. Rachel goes to his house and they talk about religion. Rachel says she wants their kids to be Jewish and Finn says that is okay. They start to make out and Rachel puts his hand on her boob (just as Finn wished). Sue asks Santana and Britney to make sure the glee club does not sing the religious songs. They say they don't mind the idea. They also mention Kurt does not believe in GOD. She talks to Kurt and convinces him to make it so they are not allowed to sing those songs. Emma yells at Sue asking why she would do that. Sue explains that when she was young she watched as people where mean to her sister with special needs. Sue says that she prayed for Jeane to get better. Then prayed harder and harder. Nothing happened and after a while Sue realised that it wasn't because she wasn't praying hard enough, it was because nobody was listening. Emma says its okay to have your own beliefs but you do not push them onto other people. Sue then says that Christians always say you must believe in GOD or go to Hell. The glee club is no longer aloud to sing religious songs but they continue to sing spiritual songs. Finn prays once again to the Grilled Cheesus that he becomes the quarter back again. Puck walks in and says that he has been praying for Burt. Rachel and Finn go to a lake at night where Rachel sings "Papa, Can You Hear Me?" Kurt catches her singing to Burt along with Finn, Quinn, Mercedes and Finn's Mother, Carol. He gets mad at them. Finn suggests at a football game they do a certain Play. Sam agrees and is hurt because of this. Finn becomes quarter back again (just as he wished). Kurt tells the glee club the story of when his Mother was buried when he was much younger. He then sings "I Want To Hold You Hand" while having flashbacks of him and his father when he was young. Finn confesses to Emma about making the 3 things he wished for happen. Emma explains that They won the game because they now have a better coach and that Rachel let him touch her boob for a reason (which was he agreeing to let their kids be Jewish) and that Sam was injured because the player that tackled him is a 25 year old on steroids. Finn seems disappointed and sings "Losing My Religion." Mercedes invites Kurt to go to church with her. He does and at her church she sings "Bridge Over Troubled Water" for him. Jeane and Sue play checkers where Sue lets her win. Sue asks if Jeane believes in GOD. Jeane does and asks why Sue doesn't. Jeane says GOD doesn't make mistakes. Kurt visits his Father again and apologises for blowing off the dinner. He makes a speech and says he does not believe in GOD, but he does believe in family. Burt moves his hand. Kurt holds it tight and calls in the Nurse. The glee club sing "One Of Us." As the songs finishes Sue walks in. Will asks is she is going to get him fired. She says no. Finn decides to eat the Grilled Cheesus.

NEXT EPISODE: Duets- Sam joins the glee club and an assignment for singing Duets leads to a competition. Rachel and Finn throw the competition on purpose so Sam can have a chance to win. Meanwhile Tina finds it hard to chose between Mike and Artie.
