GLEE PICKED UP FOR SEASON 3!

The first season of glee has not even finished yet and fox has already given glee a third season. A few months ago while the show was on a 4 month break, fox picked up glee for a second season which will begin filming in mid-July (according to Ryan Murphy). Season 2 will take an 8.00 Tuesday time slot in September this year. The second season will be split in two like the first except the break will be much shorter. It is expected for the mid-season finale to take place in December. it will be just after a Christmas episode which will have its own CD. Last year a bonus Christmas song titled "Last Christmas" was released. Brad Falchuk announced that the song was a test to see how viewers would feel about a Christmas theme and the song was a success so they decided a Christmas episode is going to happen. In February 2011, a special episode will show after the super bowl and then it will lead on with its second half of season 2. Season 3 will be due to start in September 2011. They have no plans for season 3 yet as they are still working on season 2. But rest assure gleeks, they wont run out of ideas. Fox President, Kevin Rilley told EW.com-“Everything about Glee – from the concept to the characters to the marketing – has been innovative and risky, but with [series creator] Ryan Murphy tapping into the zeitgeist, the risk has paid off with this truly remarkable series. Glee has one of the most active, devoted fan bases I’ve ever seen, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to give Gleeks a third season of their favorite show.”
The First Season Finale Of GLEE Will Be on June 8, 2010 on FOX!
